SAVI VALLE
Savi Valle (she/her/ella) is a multi-disciplinary artist, poet, and K-12 art educator in Chicago, IL. When working more realistically, she is drawn to lived in interior spaces filled with memories and attachments to loved ones. She uses color, space, and objects to ground her work in those intimate memories and mementos. She is excited about the idea of turning physical space into a souvenir of sorts.
Her abstracted and non-representational works are focused on physical movements and connections to her body. Savi was hospitalized in 2018 for GBS and since then her art style has changed to become ever evolving and is about experimentation. In those pieces, she focuses on balance of shape and movement with abstraction and that area of her work is far more focused on the process of creation rather then the finalized product. This has allowed Savi to create a very diverse portfolio with a wide variety of media and content.
